- · “Once again very high standards throughout” ·
- “Extremely comfortable premises, ideal setting for learning”
- Results for the past 3 years : 100% passes with about 2/3rd credits.
AMAZING RESULTS !
- · “An excellent course from a very pleasant and knowledgeable tutor” ·
- “Thank you for a very informative and challenging time” ·
- “I am amazed at how much I learnt. Not only in Reflexology but in other
health topics as well” ·
- “A wonderful insight into what causes disease and health - thank you” ·
- “I did not know we created our own disease ! thank you for that insight”
- Our classes are kept small. We only allow a maximum of 8 students in our
ITEC massage, reflexology, aromatherapy classes as we do not believe ANY
tutor can effectively supervise more than 4 people massaging at a time (½
class working at a time). This compares very favorably with colleges where 20+
students can be in one class.
- We teach Holistic therapy. We believe that you can improve your health
with the use of the Therapies we teach and we show you how. This is very
different from other mechanically run courses in Alternative Therapies.
- We are JAMES
accredited. This means we are amongst the top 5% school in the UK.
- Our Massage, Reflexology and Indian Head Massage courses are all backed up
by a professionally shot Video. This means that you can review our massage
sequence as often as you like in the comfort of your own home. As far as we
know, no other local school offers this.
- Practical exercises are given during the Aromatherapy and Reflexology
classes where actual case histories are discussed. Unlike most schools, our
tutors will guide you through treating various ailments.
- We supply organic essential oils, cream, towels, treatment couches,
refreshments etc.. during our classes. We do not ask you to bring these
yourselves.
The final choice is yours.
ITEC stands for "International Therapy Examination Council". This diploma is
officially recognised by the English Government and many other English speaking
countries in the world. ITEC also has registered schools in Australia, Channel
Islands, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, Malta, New Zealand,
Norway, Singapore, South Africa, Singapore, Spain and Zimbabwe.
Every year about 35,000 students graduate through ITEC. They are the largest
private Alternative Therapy graduating body in Europe, not just an English body.
This is a valuable consideration if you ever intend to travel abroad and
practice.
ITEC being an independent body, their examination fee is payable by those
wishing to take this examination.
JAMES stands for Joint Accreditation Monitoring &
Evaluation System. This
is a way in which ITEC closely monitors how a school is performing. To gain this
prestigious award, a school must allow an ITEC examiner access to all their
records and handouts for thorough inspection.
A school's progress is monitored during each examination and a complete
report on performance is written on each occasion by the ITEC examiner. Standard
are very high and of very stringent level.
Alternative Therapies is proud to be JAMES accredited.
Currently only the top 5% of schools in the UK hold this prestigious
award.
As a student of a JAMES accredited school, your diploma will be recognised by
the following organizations without any need for an extra examination :
- The Reflexologist's Society
- BCMA (British Complementary Medicine Association)
- IPTI (Independent Professional Therapists International)
- The Guild of Complementary Practitioners
Results for the past 3 years : 100% passes with about 2/3rd credits. .
Amazing results !
We have only registered one failure in Aromatherapy and Reflexology since we
started being examined by ITEC in 1993.
Candidates are assessed weekly. Candidates consistently meeting our set
standards will automatically receive our "ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES" certificate in
their subject.
You can now spread your payments over as many months as you wish as we do
accept Visa, MasterCard and Switch. See our
SECURE registration form for

NVQ, VAI, IHBC, C&G, BTEC, CIDESCO and
CIBTAC.
If you hold one of the above qualification and your knowledge of A&P is
still current, then you do not need to re-study A&P. However if your diploma
is more than 12 months old, we will ask you to sit a mock Anatomy &
Physiology exam at our school. This will help us to determine the amount of
knowledge you have and indicate your suitability for the ITEC examination. A fee
of £30 will be levied to allow for the 3 hours in-house examination and to cover
the cost of correcting the mock exam and discussing the results with you.
